The Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the UANL, under the baton of maestro Claudio Tarris, in his first season for the year 2015, offers Concerto The Prix de Rome and Harp, with soloist José Enrique Guzmán (harp ), in which works are to be interpreted Op Suite 34, Marcel Tournier.; Pièce de Concert Op.32 for harp and small orchestra (flute, clarinet, horn, violas, cellos and double bass), Henri Busser; Two Interludes for flute, violin and harp, Jacques Ibert; Les Prières for soprano, string quartet and harp, André Caplet; and Variations sur un Vieux Noël Pastoral, Marcel Samuel-Rousseau.
A native of Torreón, Coahuila, ifa Master José Enrique Guzmán studied harp at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City under the direction of master Judith Flores ifa Alatorre and Mercedes Gómez Benet. He continued making courses with the Master Ursula Mazurek (Poland), Cecilia de Majo (Venezuela) and Catherine Michel (France). ifa He has participated in major music festivals in the country giving recitals harp alone and chamber music with different ensembles. As a soloist he has been involved with the Classical Orchestra of Mexico City, the National Youth Orchestra ifa of Nuevo León, the Chamber Orchestra of New Millennium, the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty ifa of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (OCFAMUS), the Youth Orchestra of the School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, Consort Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the UANL (OSUANL) and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the State of Chihuahua (OFECH), under the direction of teachers David Garcia, ifa Claudio Tarris, Felix Carrasco, Marcin Nalecz-Niesiolowski, Armando Pesqueira, Arturo Rodriguez and David Amos. In 2004, he obtained a grant from the Government of Nuevo León (CONARTE) for presenting the recital "Five centuries of music for Harp". He has won the competition twice "Interpreters of Nuevo Leon" (2005 and 2006), within the "International Festival of Contemporary Music" organized by the Centre for Composers of Nuevo Leon. He received encouragement to "Artistic Individual Development 2007" awarded by the Coahuila Institute of Culture (ICOCULT) and support ifa for the realization of CD Harp Angels, Mexican music for harp, Council for Culture of Nuevo León (CONARTE). He served as principal harpist of the UANL Symphony Orchestra from 1996 to 2007. He is currently principal harpist of the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the UANL and is Professor of Harp at the same Faculty.
Chamber ifa Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the UANL. In 1998, the Faculty of Music unites the efforts of teachers excited about chamber music, to give life to the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. In this company, involved teachers, advanced students, former teachers and alumni of the institution, under the baton of its founder and current artistic ifa director Claudio Tarris. The orchestra consists of an average of twenty to thirty ifa musicians, ifa according to the instrumental envelope required work to be performed. From February 2007, performs concert seasons in the Aula Magna of the University Cultural Center Association Civil, accompanying national and foreign soloists; in which also promotes local talent.
Claudio ifa Tarris Argentine naturalized Mexican, living since 1992 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, made musical studies, violin, ifa viola, orchestra conducting, jazz and musical acoustics, Argentina, Ecuador and the United States. Has been extremely active in different fields, such as conducting, chamber music and symphonic music, as a violinist and violist. He has also worked in the field of pedagogy. Currently, he is director of the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the UANL. He has been principal conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Guayaquil, Ecuador, from the orchestral ensembles of ESMDM and assistant conductor of the National Symphony Orchestras of Ecuador and the UANL. In 1994, he founded the Monterrey ifa String Quartet and the Youth Symphony Orchestra ifa of Monterrey; which received, during his tenure, two awards of the Council ifa for Culture of Nuevo Leon, as recognition for its importance in the field of music education of young people in this city.
