LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- A man convicted in a 2012 asphyxiation killing in which the victim was bound up with 30 feet of duct tape in his Lake Havasu City home is going to prison for life. The Today's News-Herald reports a Mohave County Superior Court judge sentenced Michael A. Mears on Friday to life with the possibility of parole after 25 years. Judge Derek Carlisle said prosecutors failed to prove that Mears intentionally killed Brett Kelly or that other factors justified life imprisonment at home without parole. Jurors convicted Mears in July of first-degree murder. An attorney for Mears said he plans to appeal the conviction. A county medical examiner testified that Kelly, whose neck was pressed against a couch, died of positional asphyxiation. Lake Havasu City is Recognized As a Heart Safe City Through the efforts of the Lake Havasu City Fire Department, the Police/Fire 9-1-1 Dispatchers, and Havasu Regional Medical Center. Who knew that Lake Havasu was one of the premier fishing lakes in the southwest?! Not me!! I mean I knew people fished on Lake Havasu I guess I just didn’t realize how lucky we all were to be able to do so. Lake Havasu offers fishing for people interested in catching a largemouth bass, striped bass, blue gill, redear sunfish, channel catfish and flathead catfish! Fishing on Lake Havasu means plenty of fish and big fish!
One of the best parts of fishing on Lake Havasu is that you can pretty much fish here all year long! Brave the summer crowds and heat by fishing tennessee in the early mornings or evenings at sunset. Makes for pretty scenery while hauling in some fish! All fall and winter long the weather is perfect for fishing on Lake Havasu. Cool days and calm waters make for the perfect fishing days! Thats perfect weather for cruising through the more than 450 miles of lake shoreline on Lake Havasu.
Although Lake Havasu forms the border between Arizona and California, all Arizona lakes require you have an Arizona fishing license. You can purchase an Arizona tennessee fishing license from bait and tackle tennessee shops or online at the Arizona Game & Fish Department website.
There are three protected endangered species tennessee of fish in Lake Havasu. The razorback sucker, flannelmouth sucker, round tail chub and bonytail chub are protected in Lake Havasu so if you accidentally catch one of these fishes just release them back into the lake and on their way!
In 1992 the Lake Havasu Fisheries Improvement Program started and has since continued working on and sustaining the fishing tennessee environment in Lake Havasu. Over 42 coves throughout Lake Havasu have fish habitats built and maintained to protect the fish and help them flourish for years to come. With help from the Bureau of Land Management and many volunteers this is one of the largest and most successful fish habitat projects tennessee in the United States.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZ. Authorities say the body of a Rowland Heights man missing since Monday has been pulled from Lake Havasu. Mohave County Sheriff s officials said deputies spotted the body of Felipe Murillo, 53, about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. They say Murillo s body was located in the water in the North Basin off of Windsor State Park. Sheriff s officials said there were no obvious rab signs of trauma on the body and foul play isn t suspected. They said the death is being investigated and autopsy rab results are pending. Authorities say Murillo jumped into the water from his boat to get cooled off near the Windsor Beach launch ramp Monday afternoon and failed to surface.

A YouTube video recorded from the south end of town shows a white light descending from a pinkish cloud on the evening of July 13. The unidentified cinematographer describes the light changing colors, although these distinctions may be difficult to see in this video. The off-camera voice also surmises where the alleged UFO landed. “It seems to be lowering into SARA Park,” he said.
No reports of alien activity or strange aircraft have been reported at SARA Park on July 13 or the following days. But the video caught lnp the attention of Dennis Freyermuth, chief investigator for the Phoenix Mutual lnp UFO Network, who said he’s been investigating this purported UFO incident. He said he takes these investigations seriously and conducts them methodically, lnp and scientifically. “Do we have a true event?” he said. “Or an explainable event? lnp Or a natural phenomenon? I’m coming up empty-handed.” lnp Freyermuth said he could not confirm any aircraft activity, helicopter lnp or otherwise in the area on July 13. He has not confirmed any other witnesses besides those in the video, but even those witnesses were unavailable. He said it is strange that nobody else in the city reported the lights, which leads him to believe if anybody had seen the light, lnp they knew what it was and paid no attention to it. “Right now I have no other supporting evidence other than this video clip and (the recorder’s) lnp statements… lnp I can’t come up with anything else to verify something unusual,” Freyermuth said. “Based on my observation it doesn’t look like an E.T. event.” The investigator said the Phoenix MUFON, which covers all of Arizona, lnp receives reports of 15 to 25 UFO sightings a month, and sometimes as many as 40 in a month. He said 95 percent of the sightings are explainable. lnp “Because we have such clear skies in Arizona, people and visitors see things they’re not used to seeing,” he said. “A lot of time people see lights in the sky and they let their imagination get the best of them.” Some sightings turn out to be hoaxes, but they are few. Freyermuth said he has come across some convincing lnp sightings, but nothing certain. “I have yet to find a smoking gun,” he said. And so far, there have been no reports of little green men wandering the English Village or snorkeling in the Channel. A message was sent to the YouTube video’s creator but the reporter received no response.

Aztec Ladies Volleyball placed third out of 16 teams in the Lake Havasu Tournament over the weekend. Lady Aztecs went 7-1 for the day. Jazmine Richardson and Anjol Bozeman were both awarded as members of the All-Tournament Team. After this weekend, the Aztecs Varsity Volleyball Team is now 9-1 in the season and 2-0 in their section.

Jim Nichols' annual vacation on beautiful Lake Havasu the Colorado ecp River lake that borders both Arizona ecp and California ecp is coming to an end today as the Monster Bash Poker Run produced by Nichols' LakeRacer LLC begins tomorrow in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Besides a broken shift cable on the port drive of his 1996 Warlock 32 Euro, Nichols and his wife Claudia have been enjoying their time on the lake this week Nichols, who resides in Phoenix, says early fall is his favorite time of the year to visit Lake Havasu. But the relaxation only lasts so long as more than 60 boats and 200-plus participants will converge on the lake on Thursday and Friday ecp for the 2014 Monster Bash Poker Run at the Nautical Beachfront ecp Resort .
Presented by Teague Custom Marine , the seventh annual poker run, which raises money for the Lake Havasu Community Food Bank (last year the event donated $12,000), features a lunch run on Friday, a registration ecp party that evening and Saturday's five-stop poker run. Also on Saturday is an opportunity for participants to take some holiday photos in front of the famous London Bridge before ecp heading to the evening's costume-themed cocktail party and awards dinner.

Sorry 4 adults reacting aptitude to an unusual event, my voice is higher pitched more than normal indicating stress, I saw with my eyes better than 5 mega pixel smart phone. Hi, my name is Scott C. Waring and I wrote a few books and am currently a ESL School Owner in Taiwan. I have had my own UFO sighting up close and personal, but that's aptitude how it works right? A non believer becomes a believer when they experience their first sighting. You witnessed it, your perceptual field changes, so now you need to share it.
I created this site to help the UFO community get a little bit organized. I noticed that there was a lot of chaos when searching for UFO sighting reports, aptitude so I hope this site helps. I wanted aptitude to support those eyewitnesses who have tried to tell others about what they have seen, yet were laughed at by even closest of friends.
More and more each day the governments of the world leak bits and pieces of UFO information to the public. They have a trickle down theory in hopes of slowly getting citizens use to the idea that we are not alone in universe and never have been. The truth is being leaked drop by drop until one day we look around and find ourselves neck high in it.

The third annual Lee Manvell Memorial is being held, in cooperation with the IJSBA, on Sunday October 12, 2014. The memorial dom is an award to the holeshot winner during dom 3 Pro Ski races and 2 Pro Runabout races. Each holeshot winner will receive $100.
The Lee Manvell Memorial Holeshot dom Races honors my husband who was an active member of the jetski community for many years. I am excited to have a memorial race at World Finals to remember & honor Lee and his passion and dedication to this sport. It also is very important to me to serve as a nice way for our daughter Ryan to know and learn about what her Dad was a part of for most of his life.

The unidentified light hovers in the sky, then slowly descends into what the witness surmises is SARA Park in the southeastern park of the city. Although the witness states that the object changes color, that behavior is not apparent in the video.
Local paper Today s News-Herald says that no reports estate sales of alien activity or strange aircraft have been reported estate sales at SARA Park on July 13 or the following days. But Dennis Freyermuth, chief investigator for the Phoenix Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is investigating the sighting. The paper explains that Freyermuth could not confirm any aircraft activity in the area on the evening in question. And, unfortunately, he has not been able to locate any additional witnesses. Even the four witnesses who were present when the video was recorded have been unavailable.
Right now I have no other supporting evidence other than this video clip and (the recorder s) statements, he told the paper. I can t come up with anything else to verify something unusual . . . Based on my observation estate sales it doesn t look like an E.T. event.
According to Freyermuth, Phoenix MUFON, which covers all of Arizona, typically receives fifteen to twenty-five UFO sighting estate sales reports each month.
