They date from the beginning of our era. The oldest coin is from the year 122 BCE, the last one is a coin of the Emperor Vitellius in the year 69. The 65 coins were found by the amateur hud archaeologist Huub Schmits. Archaeologists consider the possibility hud that the coins in the year 69, during the Batavian revolt, buried by a Roman soldier who wanted to put his property safe.
