This is the last of three articles published about getting a job in England. In this I will write about living in England, house prices, trips to Portugal, food, language schools, time, wages and transport.
House prices: reverse mortgage The houses are quite expensive, both rent and buy. It depends on the area where you live but more or less you pay 750 per month for a house with one bedroom and living room. I leave this link for those who want to take a look: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/.
Travel to Portugal: Portugal Travel to London are not expensive but you must book in advance. The airlines that normally use are easyJet, Iberia, British Airways and Tap. There are also cheap flights by Ryanair to Porto.
Power: I do not think the most expensive food than in Portugal, is necessary is to go to certain supermarkets. The best quality / price is Tesco. There are always several promotions and perhaps the Pingo Doce here. In England they have food from all countries, it is possible to buy anything but variety of fish and this is a little more expensive than in Portugal. The fruit and meat is also a bit more expensive.
English Schools: For those who want to do intensive course for a month will pay 1,000 in the case of choose to have classes all day and take classes in speaking, reading and listening. You pay much but it helps. In my school reverse mortgage helped to write CVs, had partnership with companies and sent students to have professional experience but is usually not paid. Here is the site for those who want to have an idea: http://www.concorde-int.com/
Time: As everyone knows in England reverse mortgage it rains more than in Portugal. Depending on the site who want to live will be different. In my town have plenty of sunshine but also rain and I see that is quite different from London. So if for you it is important to choose sun towns in the south, of course.
Wages: You can see this site wages in the United Kingdom (values are annual, here they always speak in annual salaries): reverse mortgage http://career-advice.monster.co.uk/salary-benefits/pay-salary-advice/uk-average-salary-graphs/article.aspx
Transportation: Train travel is expensive. For people under 25 years advise you to do a card to get 33% discount on travel but can not be used in monthly passes. A pass may cost 300 per month for a distance as near Lisbon reverse mortgage (such as Azambuja) reverse mortgage to Lisbon center. Bus and metro are also more expensive. reverse mortgage

Hello Ana. Thanks for the help you are offering. Portugal is going through a very difficult situation. Witness all questions / requests for help that has received on your blog. I and my family are a few more people in the same situation. We know some people in Manchester and Liverpool but we have no sure what the city where we are going. My husband is a civil engineer and I am an administrative assistant, reverse mortgage pastry and translator of English and Spanish. What do you think for themselves is the best city in terms of scenery, quality of life, cost of living and job opportunities in Northern England? We have two babies 18 months. Thanks for your help and good luck!
Hello Ana He went to search reverse mortgage for CV's and saw your blog. And I found interesting. reverse mortgage I'm already living in England for more than two years, but already here had my parents live. House prices depends very much on where we live ... In your example say 750 / month for a house with a room. I live in Leamington Spa, Coventry and paid even p ( 750 / month) reverse mortgage for a house with 3 bedrooms and two living rooms.
Train ride is actually more expensive than in Portugal, paid Leamington to Manchester 40 each way i back, off-peak jora. But walking d bus is not more expensive. Now prices in Portugal are very high.
I'm taking the ESOL course (English for Speakers of other languages) on the local College and is very good, is not very expensive, and for some (who receive state aid) the course can be free. And at the end of each term (term time) makes up an exam and pass (of course) received a certificate from Cambridge University. Luckily for me, since I'm on the last level. And if all goes well this term finish the course :)
And my sister does not know anything about English came po 6th year without knowing any English, and gave up very well because they help in the development and are very patient, she is now in 10th year at school and does not seem emigrant: )
