John / Yochanan {8: 3} "And the scribes and the Pharisees bring a woman taken in adultery was brought to him. {8: 4} And putting her they leave, they say unto him, Master, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery; {8: 5} Moses gave us the law commanded to stone such women; but what sayest thou? {8: 6} And they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him; But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger appraisal wrote on the ground. {8: 7} But when they continued appraisal asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, Let the one among you who is without sin be the first stone at her. {8: 8} And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. {8: 9} And when they heard it, they, being convicted appraisal by their conscience, went out one by one, from the oldest down to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman who stood in between them. {8:10} appraisal And Jesus lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? appraisal Has no one condemned you? {8:11} And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, I do not condemn you. Go and sin no more. "
You may wonder why I D'var Torah with a passage from the Renewed Covenant (Brit Chadasha) began. The first reason is that one of the verses that Jesus (Yeshua) is spoken, refer to our meditation (Parasha) for this week. The second reason is that this part is often mistakenly cited by non-Messianic believers to prove that the Act is repealed and we are under grace instead of the Act, traffic. Below it follows the passage of our meditation this week, I'm referring to:
Deuteronomy / Devarim {22:22} "If appraisal a man be found lying with a married woman, both of them shall die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman. So you shall purge the evil from Israel. "
So, Jesus (Yeshua) then indeed violated the law because he is not the woman caught in adultery, appraisal do not condemn? According appraisal to the story of John (Yochanan), the inference could be drawn that Jesus (Yeshua) favors grace above the law. After all, He said to the woman's accusers: "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first stone at her." This could give the impression that Jesus (Yeshua) grace defend above the law. Nevertheless, the fact is that Jesus (Yeshua) not at all, by what he said or did, did not violate appraisal the law. Absolutely not! Allow me to explain it.
The scribes and Pharisees, appraisal as told, the woman (in our passage) actually caught in adultery. This means of course that both the man and the woman were both present at the time and both were caught in the act of copulation. It should be noted that the scribes and Pharisees appraisal only woman to Jesus (Yeshua) has brought. However, appraisal if they do so was adjusted to Jesus (Yeshua) the fulfillment of the Torah, and how he would condemn this woman in relation to the law, why did not they also - as, in fact, prescribed by the Torah - the guilty husband brought? Both had, after all, have been together when they are caught red-handed. The reason is-the-obvious and to us given in the passage from John (Yochanan):
The law requires that both the man and the woman to be stoned appraisal if they are caught in the act of adultery. Still, the scribes and Pharisees only woman to Jesus (Yeshua) brought. Therefore, this incident is not an act of Jesus (Yeshua) to give preference to grace the top of the Act. Rather, it was an attempt of the scribes and Pharisees to overthrow the precepts of the Torah and Jesus (Yeshua) to sin. Our Lord, however, saw right through appraisal them: As the woman was caught in the act, which was the man? The fact is that Jesus (Yeshua) is indeed defend the precepts of the Torah. Consequently, this may not be interpreted as evidence that the Tanach (Hebrew Scriptures), writings of the Act, while the Renewed Covenant appraisal (Brit Chadasha) writings of grace.
But there is something else I like, following our passage from John (Yochanan) chapter eight, appraisal wants to suggest. People often ask: What was Jesus (Yeshua) working on the ground to write what caused the scribes and Pharisees, one by one, left the scene?
John / Yochanan {8: 7} "So when they continued asking him, he lifted appraisal up himself, and said unto them, Let the one among you who is without sin be the first stone at her. {8: 8} And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. {8: 9} And when they heard it, they, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, from
