Drugs have an efficiency that varies from one product to another. So far, these changes have remained unknown to most customers of pharmacies. But that could soon change: The Ministry of Health plans for 2014, an application on each box refundable drug, code easy to know its effectiveness. It would be a SMR code that would be three levels: large, medium, or low.
According to the daily Le Parisien that was able to obtain a confidential note, the Ministry of Health study at the present possible measures to regulate the use of drugs in France. One of the proposed trails would result in the requirement for pharmaceutical companies to mention the SMR code on the packaging of their drugs. This innovation would allow anyone to determine the effectiveness of a particular product.
